Headwaters Behavioral Health

Adolescent mental health treatment

A new era of healthcare.

Headwaters Behavioral Health (HBH) opened its doors to the eastern Idaho community last Thursday as Idaho Falls' newest residential mental health treatment center for youth.

Over 60 medical professionals and local leaders celebrated the official ribbon cutting and facility tour open to the community in January 2026. Dr. Bruce Figuered, president and CEO of Jackson House and its sister companies, accompanied by Lex Fanopoulous, HBH program director and chief administrator, introduced the cutting-edge treatment methods and high-quality psychiatric care the new facility can provide.

We make life better.

"It's the clinical necessity to have youth staying here locally in eastern Idaho versus having to travel out of state to Utah, to Montana, to any other surrounding state. Right? So that enables kids to be local here still in their community, connected with their families, and not displaced."

Dr. Bruce Figuered, Ph.D

D CEO

"Two years ago, the governor put forth a proposal to bring the youth back home to the state. And when you talk about adolescents who are in need of mental health services, having family involvement, having family close, is a critical part of the recovery process."
